I am back in Canberra!!! Week 11 in the States was mostly about wrapping up work stuff and saying fair well to people. It’s been an amazing time! I have learnt and experienced so much!
Week 9 in the US: Air & Space Edition!
A belated update. It’s been pretty hectic around here with work and what not.
Most people probably don’t know this but I love space stuff ever since I was a kid! I don’t know much about them but I sure do love rockets and spaceships!
A while after I got back from NYC I discovered that there is actually a space shuttle on display in Manhattan and I completely missed it! I was more devastated than missing out on seeing lady liberty up close.
Luckily, the Discovery space shuttle at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is only an hour drive from where I am. So, I finally went with a buddy on Sunday to check it out.
Week 8 saw work ramping up as we move towards the end of this trip. Only 3 weeks left now. 🗓️⏳🕐
Week 7 has been a lazy week outside of work. Lots of Netflix and chill. I took another week off gym to try and recover from some on-going exertion headaches.
Week 6 marks the halfway point of my US stay. Work continues to be busy and challenging.
Outside of work, I took a week off gym to let some recovery and injuries to catch up and heal. Been dealing with some bad exertion headaches for the last few weeks. Went back to the gym on Monday and the headaches were back in full force after some squats. It’s looking like I will need some extended break to make that go away completely. Any exercise just aggravates it at this stage…
On to more exciting things. I went to New York City for the weekend! It is such a strange and cool place! The trip started with catching a 4 hour bus ride from Annapolis on early Saturday morning and I arrived in 27th at 10-ish. I proceeded to spend the rest of the day just walking down towards the south end of Manhattan and exploring around.
